YouTube download formats: MP4
Up to 10 minutes and 200 MB. No playlists, live streams, paid or login-restricted videos, DRM removal or MP3 conversion. YouTube’s rules restrict downloads and automated access; use permitted methods.
Only download when you have the necessary rights and the source platform permits the access method.
Each platform supports different post types. Choose a tool to check its links, file formats and limits.
For these uses, you need the content rights and a download method permitted by the source platform. Saving a file does not grant reuse rights.

Where the content rights and access method allow it, check a prepared video’s sound and resolution before keeping an offline copy.
Prepare one permitted Short using its own link. The same 10-minute and 200 MB limits apply; playlist and timestamp parameters do not request extra files or editing.
Yes. YouTube watch, Shorts and youtu.be links resolve to one video ID. The same 10-minute and 200 MB limits apply; Shorts are not a separate download format.
Yes, when compatible 1080p video and audio are available within the 10-minute and 200 MB limits. LinkSave can combine the tracks and prefers a higher-resolution supported option over a lower-resolution complete MP4. The combined-track path is capped at 1920 pixels on the longer side. Check the actual resolution shown in the result; 4K is not guaranteed.
No. A link containing t=20s still requests the whole individual video. LinkSave removes the timestamp when identifying the source; it does not trim the first 20 seconds. The full video must fit the duration and size limits.
No. A watch link with a playlist parameter prepares only its individual video, when supported. A playlist without a video ID is not supported, and LinkSave does not provide standalone MP3 conversion.
No. Content rights and the platform’s access rules are separate. For your uploads, YouTube documents downloads through Studio and Google Takeout. LinkSave is not an official YouTube service.
Download your own YouTube uploadsThe result shows the checked resolution and file size. Videos use compatible source formats without upscaling. Photos keep their resolution: existing JPG/PNG files stay unchanged, while WebP becomes high-quality JPG or PNG when transparency is needed. JPG conversion can introduce a small compression loss. LinkSave does not promise 4K.
The platform may restrict access, return incomplete photo data or offer an unsupported format. Removed, private, live, oversized or login-restricted content cannot be prepared. Try the individual post or photo link and check the limits.
Your browser handles the save. Check Downloads in its menu or toolbar, or your chosen save folder. On iPhone or iPad, check the Files app after saving. Files use the available video title or post caption, with numbered photos, including inside ZIP. Without that text, names use the platform and source ID when available. You can tap Save again for another copy while the prepared file is available here for 15 minutes.
Yes. Use Create QR below the link field or on your result. The code opens the original YouTube post; it does not download a file. No media preparation is needed. A timestamp in the QR link is preserved; video downloading still prepares the whole supported clip. The static code has no LinkSave expiry, but the source post must remain accessible.
