For these uses, you need the content rights and a download method permitted by the source platform. Saving a file does not grant reuse rights.
Choose one approved image
Use the individual Save control when you only need one cleared photo. The result tells you whether the file is JPG or PNG and shows its dimensions.
Review your own Reel
Prepare a permitted public Reel for offline review. Use Instagram’s official account export when you need a larger backup of your own content.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Instagram download questions
Both URL types are supported for individual public videos with an accessible compatible file. Instagram can still restrict a public post, so some links will fail.
Accessible single photos and photo-only carousels are supported, up to 20 images. Save each checked image or a ZIP in the listed order. If Instagram does not supply a matching total count, the result says the full post count is unconfirmed. Mixed video/photo carousels are not supported.
Official export options for your own mediaLinkSave delivers JPG or PNG. Existing JPG/PNG files stay unchanged; WebP becomes JPG unless transparency requires PNG. The pixel dimensions are preserved, but JPG recompression can slightly change image quality. The result shows the actual format, dimensions and size.
No. A /p/ link identifies one post. LinkSave prepares its accessible supported files, not the creator’s profile, Stories or other posts. A photo-only carousel can produce a ZIP; a mixed photo/video carousel is not supported.
No. LinkSave does not request your social password or signed-in cookies. It cannot use your account to access private or login-restricted posts.
The result shows the checked resolution and file size. Videos use compatible source formats without upscaling. Photos keep their resolution: existing JPG/PNG files stay unchanged, while WebP becomes high-quality JPG or PNG when transparency is needed. JPG conversion can introduce a small compression loss. LinkSave does not promise 4K.
The platform may restrict access, return incomplete photo data or offer an unsupported format. Removed, private, live, oversized or login-restricted content cannot be prepared. Try the individual post or photo link and check the limits.
Your browser handles the save. Check Downloads in its menu or toolbar, or your chosen save folder. On iPhone or iPad, check the Files app after saving. Files use the available video title or post caption, with numbered photos, including inside ZIP. Without that text, names use the platform and source ID when available. You can tap Save again for another copy while the prepared file is available here for 15 minutes.
Yes. Use Create QR below the link field or on your result. The code opens the original Instagram post; it does not download a file. No media preparation is needed. The static code has no LinkSave expiry, but the source post must remain accessible.
